Jaguar Mining Inc. Advances Towards Turmalina Mine Restart
Jaguar Mining Inc. (TSX:JAG) has achieved a critical step in resuming operations at its MTL Complex. The Brazilian Ministry of Labour and Employment has partly lifted restrictions on the Satinoco pile at the Turmalina Mine, following a decision from the Regional Labour Court. This permits the lifting of interdictions once safety conditions are met.
The order affects specific areas within the Satinoco pile, allowing essential preparatory work like maintenance and safety enhancements to proceed. Jaguar remains committed to resolving all issues related to the Satinoco incident in a strategic alignment toward the full restart of the MTL Complex.
CEO Luis Albano Tondo emphasized that this development allows critical work towards a full resumption, boosting confidence in safely reviving operations at Turmalina.
