New Delhi Advances Dryland Innovation at Global Drylands Congress

On September 12, 2026, New Delhi hosted a significant international event on agricultural innovation for the Global South, in line with the United Nations Day for South-South Cooperation. The focus was on accelerating agricultural solutions for drylands, amid increasing climate, water, and food security challenges.

The event, part of the Global Drylands Congress 2026, highlighted the ICRISAT Centre of Excellence for South-South Cooperation in Agriculture (ISSCA), which collaborates with 19 partners from over 40 countries. ISSCA promotes scalable solutions across climate-resilient crops, water management, and digital agriculture.
