INDUS Holding AG Acquires AI Specialist Gestalt Robotics

INDUS Holding AG, a SDAX-listed investment company based in Bergisch Gladbach, has announced the acquisition of Berlin-based Gestalt Robotics. This technology company specializes in developing custom AI-based automation solutions for industrial applications, thereby expanding INDUS's Engineering segment. Gestalt Robotics' offerings include image processing, control technology driven by artificial intelligence, visual quality control, asset tracking systems, autonomous transport navigation, and adaptive robotics, aiming at sectors such as assembly, mobility, and laboratory automation.

Dr. Johannes Schmidt, Chairman of INDUS Group's Board of Management, expressed that the acquisition aligns with the strategic initiative 'Driving innovation' by fostering AI application growth within industrial technology, thus complementing their portfolio. Gestalt Robotics, founded in 2016 and employing around 50 staff, registers annual sales of approximately 5 million euros.

The co-founders and managing directors of Gestalt Robotics, Thomas Staufenbiel and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jens Lambrecht, will maintain their leadership roles, emphasizing the strengthened position and growth potential through INDUS's backing. Axel Meyer, an INDUS Holding AG Board member, highlighted the synergy between Gestalt Robotics’ focus on industrial automation and INDUS's investment strategy, indicating ongoing acquisitions in this thriving sector.
