Indianapolis Auctioneer TJ Freije Triumphs at 2024 World Automobile Auction Championship

Richard "TJ" Freije clinched the title at the 2024 World Automobile Auctioneers Championship, which took place on April 26, 2024, in Indianapolis. As President of Freije & Freije Auctioneers, he led a competitive field of over 75 auctioneers and ringmen nationwide. This victory adds to his previous accolades including the 2016 International Auctioneer Champion and 2013 World Automobile Team Championship.

The event also saw success for TJ’s son, Tyce Freije, who secured a third-place finish in the auctioneer’s contest, representing the fourth generation of the Freije family in the auction industry. Alongside his ringman Taylor Knotts, Tyce achieved third in the team category. Beyond the auction arena, Freije has expanded the family business into a prominent national entity, especially noted for classic car auctions and partnership with Jeff Martin Auctioneers, Inc.

In his victory speech, TJ attributed his success to his faith and expressed his aim to use his achievement to promote the live auction method and the values of #TeamFridge, emphasizing commitment to family and team.
