Implenia wins major project in Frankfurt

Implenia AG has been selected to build a section of the S-Bahn Nord-Main line in Frankfurt. This urban transport infrastructure project is worth over €200 million and includes complex works for Deutsche Bahn. The section runs from Konstablerwache to Fechenheim, with a new underground station at Frankfurt (Main) Ost.

Implenia will carry out the initial trough excavation, as well as mechanical excavation of two 1.2 km long galleries. The company will implement advanced civil engineering techniques to meet the challenges of construction in a dense urban area. Work will begin in 2026 and is expected to be completed in 2031.

This project is part of the sustainable development of the Rhine-Main region, aiming to significantly improve public transport and meet current and future mobility needs, while respecting climate objectives.
