HUBER+SUHNER has received official validation from the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) for its ambitious greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets. These targets align the company with a net-zero trajectory by 2050. The validation confirms HUBER+SUHNER's commitment to addressing climate change by endorsing significant reductions across its operations and value chain.

Initially committing to reducing operational emissions in 2016, the company has announced new 2030 and 2050 targets. Over the next five years, it aims to cut Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 55% and Scope 3 emissions by 25% from a 2023 baseline. Long-term, HUBER+SUHNER plans to achieve a 90% reduction across all emission sources by 2050.

The company has integrated sustainability into its core strategy and will issue its first comprehensive climate-related risk report in 2025, aligning with the TCFD framework. This initiative will be presented at their AGM for approval, showcasing their resolution to maintain transparency and accountability.
