Huawei Introduces UnifiedBus for Enhanced SuperPoD Performance

Huawei Technologies has launched the innovative UnifiedBus computing architecture at HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 in Shanghai. Yang Chaobin, Huawei's Executive Director, presented this development aiming to tackle performance constraints in large-scale computing clusters.

Traditional architectures struggle with idle compute capacity and interconnect bottlenecks. UnifiedBus addresses these by combining ten protocols into one, significantly boosting bandwidth and reducing latency. It enables seamless collaboration between CPUs and NPUs, optimizing resource utilization.

The architecture also features tiered storage, pooling hybrid-media resources to double vector retrieval performance. Additionally, Huawei unveiled new hardware products that enhance modularity and scalability, such as UnifiedBus LinkBlade and LinkDevice, which promise higher bandwidth and lower latency.

Huawei's ecosystem efforts continue through collaborations with open-source communities, fostering an open computing environment. The company is committed to pushing forward system-level innovations and open-source collaboration.
