Huanghua Port Marks Significant Economic Contribution in Hebei Province

Cangzhou Huanghua Port, located along Bohai Bay in North China's Hebei Province, plays a critical role in regional economic development. According to Governor Wang Zhengpu, Hebei saw a GDP growth of 5.6% in the first quarter of 2024, continuing its positive trend from 2023. Huanghua Port's strategic location enables it to serve as a hub connecting the Xiongan New Area, central and southern Hebei, and other central and western regions of China.

The port has recently initiated operations at its bonded warehouse, facilitating over 10,000 tons of palm kernel meal storage. This development is expected to enhance trade efficiencies by offering bonded warehousing services that improve customs procedures and reduce financial burdens for enterprises. Besides, the port maintains robust trade links with over 200 ports across more than 50 countries.

Huanghua Port's advancements also include the signing of a strategic partnership to establish the Cangzhou Huanghua Port-Xiongan New Area Inland Port. To date, the port has listed a total of 12 inland ports enhancing connectivity within the hinterland. The port's focus on boosting its domestic and international trade capabilities further underscores its pivotal economic role.

In terms of performance, Huanghua Port achieved a record annual throughput of 330 million tons in 2023, marking a 4.99 percent increase year-on-year. The first quarter of 2024 continued with a strong performance, posting an 11.53 percent increase in cargo throughput compared to the same period in the previous year.
