HORNBACH Group Appoints Dr. Joanna Kowalska as New CFO

HORNBACH Group has announced the appointment of Dr. Joanna Kowalska as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of HORNBACH Baumarkt AG and HORNBACH Management AG, effective August 15, 2025. Dr. Kowalska will assume responsibilities over finance, tax, risk management, and more, following a period where the CFO position was vacant since April 1, 2025.

Dr. Joanna Kowalska has a robust background in finance, having started her career at KPMG and later holding significant roles within the OBI Group. Her experience includes international management positions, and she is also recognized as an expert in sustainability and digital transformation.

Albrecht Hornbach and Erich Harsch endorsed her appointment, citing her comprehensive sector expertise as beneficial for the group. Dr. Kowalska's contract is for an initial three-year term, contributing her extensive experience to shape the financial direction of the group.
