Record Participation at Hindustan Zinc's Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon

Hindustan Zinc Limited, the world's largest integrated zinc producer, hosted the 3rd Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon in Udaipur, attracting over 9,700 runners. This figure marks a nearly 45% increase from the previous edition. Participants came from 27 Indian states and six countries, highlighting the event's growing appeal.

The marathon, celebrating Udaipur's zinc legacy, welcomed running communities from major cities and international athletes from the United States, Sweden, Italy, Japan, Indonesia, and Kenya. CEO Amarendu Prakash emphasized the marathon's progress and its potential to become a top running event in India.

The race also supports Udaipur's status as a sports tourism destination. Runners enjoyed scenic views of Fateh Sagar Lake and the Aravalli ranges, joining the #RunForZeroHunger initiative. Winners received medals crafted from Hindustan Zinc's 99.99% pure zinc.
