Hep solar and Protestant Church of Kurhessen-Waldeck Form Solar Partnership

On August 18, 2025, hep solar, a solar specialist based in Baden-Württemberg, joined forces with the Protestant Church of Kurhessen-Waldeck (PCKW) to explore new solar projects. The initiative aims to utilize approximately 10,000 undeveloped plots owned by PCKW for solar energy development.

Under the agreement, hep solar will assess the sites, considering factors like soil conditions and proximity to protected or residential areas. For suitable sites, hep solar will oversee project development, including planning, construction, and finance. Local municipalities may lease their land or collaborate with other landowners to manage photovoltaic systems.

This cooperation aligns with PCKW's commitment to climate protection and renewable energy. Similar initiatives are underway in other church communities, such as the Protestant Church in Hesse and Nassau, in partnership with hep solar since 2023.
