H2APEX Acquires Strategic Hydrogen Project in Lubmin

H2APEX Group SCA has acquired HH2E Lubminwerk GmbH, enhancing its industrial hydrogen footprint in Lubmin, a pivotal hub for Germany's hydrogen industry. This acquisition includes a significant hydrogen project slated to add 1,000 MW of electrolysis capacity for green hydrogen production. The initial 100 MW phase is projected for completion by 2028.

The transaction encompasses land, infrastructure, and utilities key to the project's success. With proximity to planned hydrogen pipelines, H2APEX aims to integrate seamlessly into Germany's hydrogen network. The project envisions sourcing electricity entirely from renewable resources, reinforcing its strategic goals in green hydrogen production.

H2APEX anticipates this acquisition bolstering its national and eventually international positioning as a hydrogen supplier. The company also expects to elevate its market share during Germany's green hydrogen market consolidation, with long-term growth anticipated through in-house facility operations.
