Groupe Casino Sells Over €200M of Real Estate Assets to Tikehau Capital
Paris, 1 July 2024 - Groupe Casino has finalized an agreement for the sale of a real estate portfolio to Tikehau Capital. This portfolio includes 30 properties housing hypermarkets and supermarkets under banners like Casino, Intermarché, Carrefour, and Auchan. Some of these properties hold potential for further real estate development.
The transaction is scheduled for the second half of 2024, with an initial payment exceeding €200 million. Future earnouts are also part of the deal. Additionally, Groupe Casino will manage this portfolio for the next five years.
This sale aims to reduce the financial debt of Groupe Casino's subsidiary, Quatrim, to its bondholders.
