GREENPEAK Partners Successfully Closes Inaugural Continuation Fund

GREENPEAK Partners Advisory GmbH announced the closure of its first Continuation Fund with around EUR 350 million in commitments, focusing on investments in the specialty laboratories and Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) sectors. The Fund will primarily support the growth of two Germany-based companies, ACADEMIA and CERTANIA, which have been developed under the management of GREENPEAK Fund II.

The transaction included major investments from global firms, with HarbourVest Partners as the Principal Lead Investor. This move marks a strategic step to drive further growth within these high-performing sectors. Both ACADEMIA and CERTANIA have shown substantial growth through organic means and strategic acquisitions, now boasting combined EBITDAs close to €70 million.

Financial advisories and legal consultancies such as PJT Park Hill and Kirkland & Ellis played significant roles in facilitating the fund proceedings, ensuring a strategic and legally sound investment process. This financial maneuver not only aims to bolster the continuation of successful business strategies for the involved companies but also offers liquidity options for current investors.
