GECC Recognized Among Top 100 Fastest-Growing Companies in B.C.
Global Education Communities Corp. (GECC) has been named one of British Columbia's fastest-growing companies by Business in Vancouver. Ranked 90th on the list, GECC reported a revenue growth of 23.2%, rising from $62.5 million in 2020 to $77.0 million in 2024.
Despite international student visa caps, GECC continues to see high demand for student housing in British Columbia. Toby Chu, CEO of GECC, highlighted the growing domestic student population in GEC properties. Domestic enrollment rose from 11% to 44% this year, with Canadian students filling vacancies left by lower international enrollments. Chu emphasized that the supply and demand for student housing remain competitive.
