Gerresheimer Expands Capacities for Medical Systems in the USA

Gerresheimer AG is expanding its production capacities for medical systems in the United States. The expansion occurs at the Peachtree City, Georgia site in two phases, with a total investment of approximately USD 180 million. This project is set to create over 400 new jobs for skilled workers in the region.

The first phase includes a new building section adjacent to the existing plant, covering roughly 7,700 m² (83,000 sqft), with specialized production technology installation starting in the second half of 2024. Production will begin at the end of 2024 in this new section.

The second phase involves building a new 10,200 m² (110,000 sqft) plant near Atlanta Regional Airport, approximately 2.6 km from the first site. This plant will include additional cleanroom production space and an automated high-bay warehouse, with production slated to start by the end of 2025.

These expansions consolidate Gerresheimer's position in the North American market, putting them among the largest employers in Peachtree City with around 700 employees post-expansion.
