Achim Schalk to Join Gerresheimer's Management Board
Gerresheimer AG has announced that Achim Schalk will join its Management Board on November 1, 2025, succeeding Dr. Lukas Burkhardt. Schalk, an experienced industrial manager, will oversee the Moulded Glass, Tubular Glass, and Syringe Systems business units. With over 25 years in international corporate management, Schalk's career includes prominent roles at Magnera Inc., formed from the merger of Berry Global's Health, Hygiene and Specialties division with Glatfelter Inc.
The Supervisory Board is confident in Schalk's ability to integrate Bormioli Pharma and foster Gerresheimer's growth. Dr. Lukas Burkhardt leaves after eight years to explore new opportunities.
Gerresheimer, a leading supplier for the pharma and cosmetic industries, operates over 40 production sites worldwide. The company's revenue reached EUR 2.4bn in 2024. Schalk's appointment aims to continue the strategic development of Gerresheimer's glass and syringe sectors.
