Garanti BBVA Granted Approval for Amendment of its Articles of Association

Turkiye Garanti Bankasi A.S. (TGBD), better known as Garanti BBVA, has announced that the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) and the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye (CMB) have approved the amendment of its articles of association. The amendment involves an increase in the registered capital ceiling from 10 billion Turkish lira to 25 billion Turkish lira, and extends the authorized period of the registered capital until the end of 2028. This process, initiated on January 18, 2024, also includes a modification of Article 7 of the bank's articles of association.

The approval of these changes represents a significant milestone for Garanti BBVA, underscoring its compliance with current regulations and transparency in its corporate actions. This announcement was officially communicated to the investment community on February 19, 2024, with a note specifying that in case of any discrepancies between the Turkish and English versions, the Turkish version would prevail.
