Galenica Acquires Labor Team to Enter Diagnostics Business

Galenica AG has announced the acquisition of Labor Team Group, marking its entry into the diagnostics sector. This strategic move enhances Galenica's offerings within the physicians segment by integrating one of Switzerland's leading diagnostic service providers. Labor Team Group reported combined net sales of CHF 114 million in 2024.

The acquisition will allow Galenica to provide new diagnostic services through its extensive healthcare network, complementing its existing offerings in the pharmaceutical market. Labor Team's integration into Galenica's network is expected to foster healthcare innovations and expand services across Switzerland.

The Swiss Competition Commission must approve the transaction, with completion anticipated in the latter half of 2025. Galenica plans to operate Labor Team as an independent unit under its "Galenica Diagnostics" division, retaining current management to ensure continuity.
