Fury Gold Mines to Undertake Diamond Drilling at Éléonore South Project
Fury Gold Mines Limited has announced plans to start diamond core drilling at the Éléonore South gold project in Quebec's James Bay region. The drilling, set to begin in April 2024, aims to explore approximately 2,000 meters at the Moni showing trend, following up on promising previous findings including several high-grade gold intercepts. CEO Tim Clark expressed optimism about the project's potential to enhance value for investors, citing its strategic location and history of significant gold findings.
The Éléonore South project, entirely owned by Fury, is positioned in a region known for prolific gold mineralization, bordered by the Éléonore Mine and the Cheechoo deposit. Two types of mineralization have been identified within the project: structurally controlled quartz veins and intrusion-related disseminated gold, with the upcoming drilling campaign focusing on zones of higher-grade mineralization previously identified.
Following the initial drilling phase, Fury plans to carry out a biogeochemical survey exploring a robust gold anomaly within the project area. Historical drilling efforts at Éléonore South have successfully delineated extensive zones of mineralization, which Fury aims to further explore and define with their spring drilling initiative. The company has confirmed the program's commencement in the upcoming weeks, aiming to leverage early start advantages to expedite exploration efforts.
