FORTEC Elektronik AG's Mid-Year Turnover and Profit Decline

FORTEC Elektronik AG has reported a significant decline in turnover and profit for the first half of the 2024/2025 financial year. The company's turnover dropped to EUR 36 million, a 23% decrease from the previous year's EUR 47 million. Operating earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) fell sharply to EUR 0.2 million from EUR 4.5 million, causing the EBIT margin to decline from 9.6% to 0.5%.

The order book, however, remained relatively stable at EUR 56 million as of December 31, 2024. Due to ongoing economic challenges, the company has revised its annual forecast, expecting turnover between EUR 80 million and EUR 95 million and a group EBIT between EUR 4 million and EUR 6 million, down from previous estimates.

The medium-term forecast targets have been postponed to 2030. CEO Sandra Maile indicated that while positive signs exist for the latter half of the year, challenges remain due to geopolitical tensions and economic conditions.
