FinnCobalt Seeks EUR 2.5 Million Funding in ERMA Booster Call
Eurobattery Minerals AB, through its subsidiary FinnCobalt Oy, has applied for the ERMA Booster Call 2025, a funding program by EIT RawMaterials. This initiative aims to bolster Europe's raw materials resilience and competitiveness, offering up to EUR 2.5 million for projects with advanced extraction and processing capabilities.
The application aligns with Eurobattery Minerals' goal to ensure Europe's strategic autonomy by producing responsibly sourced battery minerals. CEO Roberto García Martínez emphasized the company's commitment to Europe's sustainable future and contribution to the green transition.
Ilari Kinnunen, FinnCobalt's Managing Director, highlighted the urgent need to secure critical raw materials, prompted by recent global events. The funding could expedite new mining projects critical for clean energy and job security in Europe.
