Final Contract Concluded Between Sport1 Medien AG and ACUNMEDYA
ACUNMEDYA has finalized its investment in Sport1 GmbH. The transaction, in which it acquired 50 percent of the shares in Sport1 GmbH, was completed today. Sport1 Medien AG, a subsidiary of Highlight Communications AG, and ACUNMEDYA, based in Istanbul, agreed on February 23 to this deal as part of a broader cooperation.
The agreement includes changes in leadership. Dr. Matthias Kirschenhofer will become the sole Managing Director of Sport1 GmbH. Robin Seckler will remain Co-CEO of Sport1 Medien AG along with Dr. Kirschenhofer.
The strategic alliance includes a content partnership. ACUNMEDYA will bring successful entertainment formats to German free-TV on SPORT1, starting with a German version of the sports reality format EXATLON in September.
