FDE launches a new green bond to support the development of low-carbon energy
The company FRANCAISE ENERGIE (FDE), active in the sector of energy production with a negative carbon footprint, announces the issue of a new green bond of 60 million euros. This financing, divided into three tranches, will support the development of its activities in Norway and Europe, notably cogeneration and solar parks in France and Belgium, as well as Bio-LNG and Bio-CO2 projects.
The funds will be used from the second half of 2024 to set up four additional cogenerations in Hauts-de-France and develop photovoltaics in Norway, aiming for a capacity of 100 MW installed quickly. FDE is also strengthening its commitment in Norway with the construction of a 20 MW green hydrogen production site in Agder, intended for the maritime industry.
This issuance was made possible thanks to the partnership with Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management, which is underwriting this bond through its BRIDGE infrastructure debt platform. The bond, described as “green”, complies with the principles of ICMA and was assessed by the independent expert EthiFinance.
