FastGrid Acquires Wisergy to Enhance Renewable Energy Solutions

FastGrid, a prominent player in utility-scale solar and energy storage engineering, has announced the acquisition of Wisergy, a Mexico-based firm specializing in high-voltage and substation design. This move aims to broaden FastGrid's expertise and international reach, enhancing its role as a global provider in the renewable energy sector.

Wisergy, founded by Luis Velasquez, has contributed to 12 gigawatts of renewable projects across multiple continents, increasing FastGrid's portfolio to 35 GW. Eric Curry, CEO of FastGrid, emphasized that this acquisition is a milestone in their growth strategy, promising more efficient solutions for clients globally.

The integration of Wisergy's high-voltage engineering expertise complements FastGrid's existing strengths, reducing subcontractor reliance and amplifying international capabilities. FastGrid plans to establish a center of excellence in Latin America to further develop high-voltage expertise integrated with solar projects.
