FAMAR Group Appoints Dr. Riku Rautsola as New CEO
On September 29, 2025, FAMAR Group announced a change in leadership as Dr. Riku Rautsola takes on the role of CEO. This follows the decision of Konstantinos Rengis to step down after a notable 16-year tenure, including the last four years as CEO. Rengis cited personal reasons for his departure but will remain in a senior advisory role, focusing on strategic customer relationships.
Dr. Rautsola, previously a non-executive board member and advisor during FAMAR's acquisition by MidEuropa, brings global experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and CDMO industries. Under his leadership, FAMAR aims to expand production capacities and strengthen development partnerships, ensuring continued growth and investment in its workforce.
Matthew Strassberg from MidEuropa expressed gratitude to Rengis while welcoming Rautsola, highlighting a forward-moving chapter for FAMAR. The group continues to serve over 80 international markets with its manufacturing and development services.
