EXACOMPTA CLAIREFONTAINE presents its 2023 financial results and outlook

The board of directors of EXACOMPTA CLAIREFONTAINE, under the chairmanship of François NUSSE, approved the annual accounts as of December 31, 2023. The group announces a turnover of €843,249 thousand, marking a slight increase compared to the last year. Operating profit amounted to €72,063 thousand and net profit after tax to €43,116 thousand, benefiting among other things from real estate capital gains and energy aid.

The paper sector suffered a drop in demand in Europe, influenced by inventories from the previous year and a drop in production. However, through strategic adaptation, the company managed to maintain its business conditions. The results in the processing sector also reflect the drop in consumption, despite satisfactory margins.

Regarding the outlook, the company anticipates uncertainty in maintaining activity and anticipates increases in raw material and energy costs. It displays gross financial debt of €208,698 thousand as of December 31, 2023, with consolidated equity amounting to €512,467 thousand. Negotiations made it possible to obtain additional credits, thus supporting the group's cash flow.
