Europorte announces the acquisition of Giravert and expands its service offering
Europorte, a subsidiary of the Getlink group, has confirmed the acquisition of 67% of the shares of the company Giravert through its subsidiary Socorail. Giravert, specialized in vegetation treatment, will now expand Europorte's infrastructure management offering.
Founded in 2000 and based in Arsy, Giravert has 9 employees and achieved a turnover of 1.4 million euros in 2023. The company provides its expertise in weeding, brush clearing and grassing, in particular with specialized equipment for rail networks.
This acquisition will allow Europorte to offer an integrated, environmentally friendly service offering by offering alternatives to phytosanitary products. Raphaël Doutrebente will chair the company, with Alain Jupille, current manager, who will maintain his 33% stake and his general management.
Europorte, a private rail freight operator, is thus strengthening its portfolio of services to better meet the needs of its customers in the rail market.
