Eurobattery Minerals Advances San Juan Tungsten Project

Eurobattery Minerals AB has announced the appointment of Minepro Solutions, S.L. to lead engineering and metallurgical efforts at the San Juan tungsten project in Spain. This decision moves the project into the production phase, addressing the European Union's need for strategic raw materials. Tungsten is a critical element with a supply chain heavily reliant on a single foreign country, making the San Juan project crucial for Europe's industrial stability.

Roberto García Martínez, CEO of Eurobattery Minerals, highlighted the importance of developing tailored processing infrastructure at San Juan, focusing on unlocking mineral value while maintaining European industrial competitiveness and resilience. Minepro Solutions will design a tungsten concentrate production plant with an initial throughput of 10 t/h, optimizing scalability and economic efficiency.

The project proceeds with simultaneous engineering and metallurgical testing over approximately 20 weeks to expedite production by early 2027 without compromising quality. Agne Ahlenius, Managing Director of Tungsten San Juan, emphasized the commitment to technical efficiency and high environmental standards, positioning the project as a modern, adaptive operation.
