E.ON to Divest Czech Gas Distribution Assets

E.ON SE has announced an agreement to sell its Czech subsidiary, Gas Distribution s.r.o., to GasNet, part of the ČEZ Group. Gas Distribution operates gas networks in South Bohemia and sections of the Vysočina Region. The sale awaits necessary regulatory approvals.

This move aligns with E.ON's strategy to advance the green energy transition across Europe and pursue growth and investment objectives. Thomas König, COO Networks at E.ON SE, expressed gratitude to the employees for their dedication and hard work.

Gas Distribution manages 4,600 kilometers of pipelines and serves 111,000 customer points. In contrast, GasNet oversees 65,000 kilometers, serving around 2.2 million customer points.
