E.ON and PSI Collaborate on Future Intelligent Grid Control System

On February 11, 2025, E.ON and PSI announced a strategic partnership to implement a standardized network control system for E.ON's grid operations in Germany. This collaboration aims to enhance energy flow management within electricity and gas grids, targeting operational efficiency by reducing costs and improving security standards. The initiative will employ PSI's "Control System of the Future" platform, facilitating grid automation and flexible adaptation to future demands.

With Germany's transition towards renewable energy sources, the grid must accommodate increased integration of wind, photovoltaic power, electric vehicles, and heat pumps. E.ON's digitization efforts play a crucial role in modernizing grid infrastructure to meet these challenges. Harald Heß of E.ON emphasized the significance of this modular system for future grid standardization and flexibility.
