EnviTec Biogas AG Elects New Board Member and Criticizes GHG Draft Bill

EnviTec Biogas AG held its Annual General Meeting, where Franz-Josef Wiese was elected as a new member of the Supervisory Board. He replaces Silvia Breher, who resigned for a governmental role. Shareholders approved a dividend of EUR 0.50 per share for 2024. The Executive Board reported favorable business performance for Q1 2025, projecting revenues between EUR 330 million and EUR 370 million for the year, despite a decrease compared to 2024 due to previous one-time effects.

CEO Olaf von Lehmden discussed strategic shifts towards biomethane production, planning to adjust energy production from biogas to biomethane by 2031. Despite the expansive U.S. biomethane market, the CEO criticized a draft bill on greenhouse gas reduction, arguing it could harm business models and stifle investments in biofuels. EnviTec highlights potential growth in biomethane applications, stressing the need for stable legislative frameworks.
