Energiekontor Secures Contracts for Eight Wind Projects

Energiekontor AG, a notable German developer and operator of wind and solar parks, announced it has secured contracts for eight wind projects. These contracts were awarded in the Federal Network Agency's February tender. The total generation capacity of these projects is around 192 megawatts. The Federal Network Agency's tender process featured a total of 422 bids, with the awarded bids totaling about 4.1 gigawatts.

The original tender was oversubscribed, with a bid volume of approximately 4.9 gigawatts. The average price was set at 7.00 cents per kilowatt-hour. Energiekontor aims to move these projects towards financial closure as a next step. CEO Peter Szabo expressed satisfaction with the contracts, noting the stability they offer for future electricity revenue. Energiekontor's achievement underscores its position as a key player in renewable energy development.
