Energiekontor Launches New Sustainable Bond for Renewable Energy Projects
Energiekontor AG, a prominent German developer and operator of wind and solar parks, has issued a new sustainable corporate bond worth 15 million euros. The bond, offering a 5.5% annual interest rate over eight years, is available for both institutional and private investors until the end of November 2025.
The fundraising aims to diversify Energiekontor’s financing structure and support interim financing for new wind and solar energy projects across Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and Portugal. With a robust pipeline amounting to 12 gigawatts, the company plans to significantly enhance its capacity, especially in the solar and onshore wind sectors.
