Enapter AG Sees a Significant Surge in AEM Electrolyzer Orders in Q1 2024
Enapter AG announced a groundbreaking increase in orders for its AEM electrolyzers, reporting a 730% jump in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period last year. The order intake reached €9.3 million, with a significant 75% attributed to the multicore AEM electrolyzers, indicating a strong demand for megawatt class devices.
New customer acquisitions contributed to 60% of the total orders, highlighting Enapter AG’s expanding market reach. The majority of these orders originated from Europe and the USA, underscoring the global interest in green hydrogen production technologies. In particular, the US orders through Enapter USA's distributor CleanH2 Inc. totaled approximately €1.5 million, aimed at green hydrogen applications in maritime refueling and industrial metalworking.
CEO Jürgen Laakmann commented on the success, emphasizing the growing customer base requiring industrial-scale hydrogen solutions and the preference for iridium-free technology. This significant increase in order intake not only reflects the rapid market growth but also the effectiveness of Enapter AG's technology in meeting diverse application needs.
