Empress Royalty Updates on Luca Mining and Tahuehueto Silver Stream

Empress Royalty Corp. (TSXV:EMPR)(OTCQX:EMPYF) has provided an update on the Tahuehueto mine in Durango, Mexico, owned by Luca Mining Corp. Empress holds a 100% silver stream in this project. Luca has completed construction at Tahuehueto and expects production capacity to double from 450 tonnes per day to 800 tpd. Additionally, a 5,000 metre drill campaign is planned for this year to explore new high-grade zones.

Luca has appointed Dan Barnholden as the new CEO to guide the company from a junior development stage to a mid-tier mining entity. Empress's CEO, Alexandra Woodyer Sherron, expressed optimism about the mine's future, citing leadership changes and favorable metal prices as key drivers.

Empress has also amended its metal purchase and sale agreement with Luca to include a revised payment schedule. Key terms feature delivery of refined silver valued at US$150,000 by August 16, 2024, and an additional US$300,000 worth of silver by August 31, 2024. The agreement aims to bring Luca up-to-date with its obligations and resume regular silver deliveries.
