Emerald Horizon AG Advances ADES Development with VDL Partnership

Emerald Horizon AG has announced the launch of its ADES Test Loop program in collaboration with VDL Groep. This marks the first integrated system test for ADES, combining components previously developed and validated individually. The project aims to validate key fluid-thermodynamic components, such as pumps, molten-salt circulation, and control systems.

The development builds on years of component-level testing across ADES architecture. Past work included neutron and proton generation and small-scale accelerator testing. This stage shifts focus from individual components to their interaction within an integrated system, crucial for the prototype development targeted for 2029.

A project-specific agreement with VDL will accompany the Test Loop's initiation at Emerald's Graz laboratory on September 8. VDL will bring its expertise in systems engineering and manufacturing, contributing to the design intended for industrial serial production.

The partnership with VDL symbolizes a significant milestone in the ADES project, reducing development risks. This announcement reinforces Emerald's roadmap without altering the company's target price or ADES deployment assumptions.
