EKPO Secures Deal to Provide Fuel Cell Stacks to Hongqi, a Premier Chinese Automaker

ElringKlinger AG, through its EKPO Fuel Cell Technologies division, has announced a significant partnership with the Chinese luxury automobile manufacturer, Hongqi, part of the China FAW Group. The agreement entails the initial supply of EKPO's "NM12-Single" fuel cell stack modules, which will be integrated into an advanced fuel cell system for a forthcoming vehicle under the Hongqi brand. This collaboration marks a significant step in the ongoing partnership between EKPO and FAW, highlighting a shared commitment to innovation in fuel cell technology.

According to Carole Brinati, Managing Director of EKPO, the selection of their fuel cell stacks by Hongqi, known for its high standards in quality and performance, underscores EKPO's technological leadership and its ability to deliver in challenging conditions, as proven during the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. This partnership is not just a win for EKPO but a testament to the growing emphasis on hydrogen fuel technology in China, a market that EKPO has been keenly developing, notably with the establishment of a subsidiary in 2022.
