Eiffage Reports Growth in Q1 2024 Financial Results

Eiffage, a notable European construction and concessions group, disclosed a profit climb in its first quarter of 2024, with revenues reaching €5.2 billion, marking a 4.9% increase from the previous year. This growth includes a substantial 13.1% rise in international sales. The firm's contracting order book also surged by 40% year-on-year to €27.8 billion, bolstered by recent major contract wins and strategic acquisitions in 2023.

The company reported growth in various sectors, with the Energy Systems segment showing the most substantial progress, attributed to Eiffage's strong positioning within the European market driving a revenue increase of 15.2%. The Infrastructure sector also reported a revenue rise by 8.2%, significantly influenced by major projects across Europe, including in Germany and the United Kingdom. On the other hand, the Construction sector experienced a downturn, with revenues decreasing by 13.6%, primarily due to a slowdown in new housing developments in Europe.

Eiffage also emphasized its strategic advancements in concessions, especially its role as the prospective concessionaire of the new A412 motorway. The group's liquidity remained robust, with €4.2 billion reported for Eiffage SA and €2.7 billion for APRR SA.

The firm reconfirmed its positive outlook for 2024, expecting continued revenue growth and favorable developments in its concessions and Energy Systems businesses. Moreover, the company highlighted its commitment to sustainability, with the publication of its fifth climate report, outlining significant strategies and targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
