Edenred expands its activities in Brazil with the acquisition of RB

Edenred, a major player in the digital services and payments platform, announces the 100% acquisition of RB, a leading platform in the field of transportation benefits for employees in Brazil. This operation, which includes the management and issuance of transport cards as well as the distribution of third-party meal and food cards, allows Edenred to strengthen its Services and Benefits offering in Brazil. The acquisition aims to expand the value proposition in employee mobility and increase its focus on the SME segment, thus promoting penetration of the Brazilian benefits market, while generating significant synergies.

RB, founded in 1999 in São Paulo, has approximately 300 employees and serves more than 15,000 customers. The company has recorded strong growth with an average annual revenue increase of 25% between 2020 and 2023, generating more than 100 million reals in 2023. The public transport voucher, a mandatory benefit in Brazil, benefits approximately 30% of the working population of the country, thus strengthening the mobility of employees to and from their workplace. Edenred Brazil, through this acquisition, will offer an enriched and premium solution to the market, also increasing cross-selling opportunities for existing RB customers, who will have access to a broad portfolio of Edenred benefits solutions at Brazil.

The transaction remains subject to the approval of the competent authorities, including the Brazilian competition authority, CADE and the Central Bank.
