DKSH Partners with Klimate for CO2 Removal Initiatives

DKSH Management Ltd. has formed a strategic partnership with Klimate to further its efforts in achieving net-zero operations. This collaboration involves procuring CO2 removal credits from Klimate's projects, notably direct air capture in Kenya and biochar production in Thailand. These initiatives are part of DKSH's broader strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The direct air capture project utilizes Kenya's renewable energy infrastructure to store CO2 in rock formations. In Thailand, biochar production aids local communities by turning crop waste into carbon-sequestering material, offering both environmental and social benefits.

DKSH aims to reduce its overall greenhouse gas emissions by 65% from 2020 levels by 2025, and 70% by 2027. The collaboration with Klimate complements DKSH's pre-existing measures to optimize logistics and transition to energy-efficient operations.
