DF Deutsche Forfait AG Celebrates 25th Anniversary

Cologne, 17 February 2025 – DF Deutsche Forfait AG commemorates its 25th anniversary, reflecting on its journey from a 20-person team in Cologne to a global presence. Originally entered into the Cologne Commercial Register in 2000, the company has navigated both successes and challenges in its path. Notably, by 2002, the firm crossed the EUR 1 billion forfaiting volume threshold.

The company faced a major setback in 2014 due to false allegations linked to illegal transactions. However, under the leadership of CEO Dr Behrooz Abdolvand in 2017 and support from Board member Hans-Joachim von Wartenberg, DF AG regained stability and profitability by 2019.

In recent years, DF Group has diversified its portfolio by expanding into M&A activities, acquiring assets like Vagabund brewery and the OBC cider brand. The group remains focused on both foreign trade finance and new ventures in various sectors.
