Deutsche Post AG Adjusts 2024 Financial Guidance

Deutsche Post AG has revised its financial forecast for the fiscal year 2024. The Board of Management expects Group EBIT to exceed EUR 5.8 billion, down from the previous forecast of EUR 6.0-6.6 billion. The DHL divisions are projected to contribute more than EUR 5.5 billion, a slight decrease from earlier expectations, while the Post & Parcel Germany division is predicted to generate around EUR 0.8 billion.

The adjustment follows observed market trends, including subdued B2B volumes and declining letter shipments. Air freight forwarding margins remain below expectations despite increased volumes. Capital expenditure has been revised to EUR 3.0-3.2 billion.

For the year 2024, free cash flow is projected at EUR 2.8-3.0 billion. The medium-term EBIT growth forecast for 2026 is now more than EUR 7.0 billion, adjusted from an earlier expectation of EUR 7.5-8.5 billion.
