Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG (pbb) has entered advanced negotiations to acquire a majority stake in a German real estate investment manager. The manager's assets under management (AuM) were valued in the low one-digit billion EUR range as of December 31, 2024. The expected purchase price, including potential success fees, is estimated to be in the mid two-digit million EUR range.

This acquisition aims to bolster pbb's "pbb invest" business unit and diversify its income streams. The deal's completion is contingent on standard closing conditions, notably approval from Germany's Financial Services Supervisory Authority and merger authorities.
