Demetra Group Acquires Maxxspine Innovative GmbH to Strengthen Spine Surgery Portfolio
Demetra Group, an international medical company known for orthopedic solutions, has acquired Maxxspine Innovative GmbH, a leader in spinal surgery solutions. This acquisition, effective immediately, was completed by Osartis GmbH, a subsidiary of Demetra, which now holds full control of Maxxspine.
Founded in 2010, Maxxspine is recognized for its cutting-edge medical devices for spinal surgery, particularly strong in the German market. This move allows Demetra to fortify its presence in key European markets, expanding its spine surgery offerings and enhancing connections with healthcare professionals.
Michele Perrino, CEO of Demetra, emphasizes that the acquisition aligns with the company's strategy to grow its European influence. Maxxspine CEO Volker Ludwig expressed pride in the merger and confidence in future growth, particularly in kyphoplasty solutions.
