DeFi Technologies Appoints Johan Wattenström as New CEO
DeFi Technologies Inc. has announced a leadership transition, with Olivier Roussy Newton resigning as CEO and Chairman, and co-founder Johan Wattenström stepping into these roles. Roussy Newton will stay as a strategic advisor. Since becoming CEO in 2022, Roussy Newton has led the company through significant growth, scaling its Valour ETP platform and expanding revenue significantly. Under his tenure, DeFi Technologies enhanced its digital asset offerings and financial profile.
Johan Wattenström, who co-founded Valour, brings almost 20 years of experience in digital assets. His previous endeavors include founding XBT Provider and Nortide Capital. Wattenström aims to continue expanding DeFi Technologies' platforms and bridging traditional finance with digital assets.
