CTS EVENTIM Agrees to Acquire Vivendi’s Festival and International Ticketing Businesses

CTS EVENTIM AG & Co. KGaA has entered into a put option agreement with Vivendi, aiming to acquire the latter’s festival and international ticketing activities. This strategic move was announced on April 2, 2024, setting the stage for a significant expansion of CTS EVENTIM's global footprint in the entertainment and ticketing sector. The businesses in question collectively generated revenues of €137 million in the year 2023.

The ticketing division, operating under the See Tickets brand, accounted for €105 million of these revenues and successfully sold around 44 million tickets across several key markets including Belgium, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Notably, See Tickets is the second-largest ticketing entity in the UK and has established a strong presence in other regions. The festival segment brought in an additional €32 million, marking its contribution to the entertainment industry.

Completion of this acquisition is dependent on fulfilling the information and consultation obligations with relevant employee representative bodies. CTS EVENTIM is optimistic about finalizing this deal in the upcoming months, further cementing its status as a leading ticketing service provider globally.
