Cornerstone Robotics Partners with Medtronic to Broaden Surgical Access

Cornerstone Robotics, a surgical robotics company from Hong Kong, has formed a strategic partnership with Medtronic, a leader in healthcare technology. Medtronic will invest around US$700 million in Cornerstone Robotics and distribute the Sentire™ surgical system in markets outside the U.S. where it is approved.

This collaboration aims to bridge the global gap in minimally invasive care. With robotic-assisted surgery adoption still low worldwide, the partnership seeks to make high-quality surgical care accessible to more patients and health systems. Combining Cornerstone's innovative technology with Medtronic's global reach, the partnership focuses on expanding access to robotic-assisted surgery globally.

Cornerstone Robotics' Sentire system, approved in China, the EU, and Singapore, supports both companies' mission to enhance accessibility. This development marks a step forward in bringing the benefits of advanced surgical technologies to a wider patient base.
