Bystronic Reports Stable Order Intake Amid Challenging Market Conditions

Bystronic AG announced that its order intake for the first quarter of 2025 remained stable, aligning with the quarterly average of the previous year at CHF 154 million. Persistent geopolitical uncertainties contributed to this stagnation. Geographically, regions like EMEA, China, and APAC experienced growth, except for the Americas. However, the Systems Division saw a slight decline in new orders, dropping by 2.3% compared to the first quarter of 2024.

Despite a marginally lower order backlog at the start of 2025, Bystronic's sales rose by 2.0% to CHF 151.3 million, overcoming potential challenges posed by U.S. tariff increases. Nevertheless, the impact of the latter remains uncertain. Consequently, Bystronic refrained from providing a full-year forecast.
