COBCO Launches NMC Production in Morocco

COBCO has announced the commissioning of its inaugural Nickel Cobalt Manganese (NMC) precursor cathode active materials (PCAM) production lines in Jorf Lasfar, Morocco. As a significant step in establishing a global ecosystem for sustainable battery material production, this development positions COBCO to address the rising demand for battery components in Europe and North America.

The facility incorporates cutting-edge technology aimed at producing high-quality materials while adhering to strict environmental standards. COBCO's investment strategy extends beyond NMC PCAM to include Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) cathodes and black mass recycling, creating a closed-loop system capable of powering over a million electric vehicles annually.
